Naadam is the country's traditional annual festival that is celebrated nationwide. Since the revolution in 1921 the festival has been organized in the honor of the victory of the Mongolian independance, but Mongolians hav been celebrating it for thousands of year. The three manly games -archery, wrestling and horse racing -in ancient times were considered to be the essential skills. Every man was a warrior and he had to master these skills to defeat his enemies.

(Tsagaan Sar) The white moon: The first spring month,is considered one of most important festivities of Mongols for centuries. This is a time of the year to celebrate the end of winter and the beginning of spring as well as the New year alike other oriental cultures. Tsagaan Sar is a festival of white food (food with white colour-milk and diary products,rice....)that represents to start the year with fresh new body and spirits. Is the day when people express respect to elder people and relative,renew friendship and sympathy to each other and reconfirm family ties. Family and relatives gather together. The eve or last day of winter is celebrated as "Bituun" -"Full darkness" due to Lunar positioning with the moon invisible in the sky. The younger family members greet older relatives, while extending arms with palms up and holding the older's arms from unrderneath. Some hold blue a scarf called Hadad. Golden Eagle Festival usually held in Bayan-Ulgii Province, located in the Altai Mountains of Western Mongolia. Each year Kazakh hunters from near and far attend the festival with their Eagles, known as berkut, to enter them into competitions testing speed, agility, and accuracy. Ceremonies, dance performances, a parade in the provincial capital's city square, and a Kazakh play in honor of the hunters and their eagles are all a part of this unique experience.
