Tour overview: Trip leads you the most attractive destinations around Ulaanbaatar city. Within this short time you will visit Elsen tasarkhai known as a mini Gobi. The scenery is unique by its combination of steppe, sand dunes and mountain landscapes. You will also able to discover ancient capital city Kharakhorum, Mongolia’s biggest Buddhist monastery Erdenezuu, unique Tuvhun khiid temple which is situated overlooking beautiful mountain top and visit Khustai national park to see the wild horses, the ancient ancestors of domestic horses of Mongolia.

Tour begins: At the airport in Ulaanbaatar you will be meet your guide and driver. City orientation tour begins with visiting Gandan Monastery. Lunch at the restaurant /Mongolian national food, modern and comfortable/. Visit the dinosaur exhibits at the Museum of Natural History and Chinggis Khaan statue at the government house. Free time. Elsen tasarkhai will make you fell like, you have visited in the gobi. Elsen Tasarhai, also known as Bayan Gobi, is a suitable place for breaking between Khogno Khaan mountain and kharakhorum. Elsen Tasarhai literally means “an isolated torn-off piece of sand” and it is a small sequence of real desert in the midst of green steppes, continues about 80 km. It feels like in the Gobi Desert, and visitors can hike in the sand dunes. We will do 1 hour of camel trip here. Overnight in the tourist camp. (B/L/D)
After breakfast drive to Kharakhorum (80km) ancient Mongolian capital city and Erdenezuu monastery. Mongolia´s ancient capital city Kharakhorum, Chinggis Khaan´s fabled city, was founded in 1220 in the ORKHON Valley, at the crossroads of “The Silk Road”. It was from there that the Mongol Empire was governed, until Kublai Khaan moved to Beijing. Erdenezuu Mongolia’s biggest Monastery was built in 1586 (16th century) and is surrounded by a massive 400m-x 400m walls. Not a single nail was used in the construction of the ornate temples, only a few of which remain standing after the communist purges. Overnight in the tourist camp.(B/L/D)
Enlightened Bogd Gegeen Zanabazar(1st Buddhist religion head of Mongolia) chose the place to build a monastery in 1648, when he was 14 years old. The construction of the monastery started in 1651. He made his famous creations in the monastery. In 1773 monastery destroyed and in 1992 it was taken under the state protection and government rebuild it. There are special formation of rocks which are called womb and cradle, symbolizing rebirth, besides, 4 temple and 2 stupas. Overnight will be in tourist camp. (B/L/D)
After breakfast drive to Khustai National Park to see a Takhi. Known as Przewalski's horse in the West and takhi in Mongolia, these dun-colored, black-maned horses are the only wild horses left in the world. The horse is an integral part of Mongolian culture. During the 12th and 13th centuries, Genghis Khan and his descendants triumphantly rode horses while building the largest empire in history, a swath of land sweeping from China to Europe. Present there are 400 Takhi horses in Mongolia and 200 of them in khustai national park. Overnight in the tourist camp. (B/L/D)
After breakfast drive back to Ulaanbaatar. It will be a day of guided sightseeing in UB, shopping and free time. Evening you will watch National folk dance performance. Overnight at 3 star hotel (L)

Tourist Ger camp: (Ger facilities) During your trip in the countryside, you’ll overnight in ger camps. Make yourself comfortable in a ger (2-4 beds). Each camp has a ger restaurant. Most camps are equipped with toilets and showers with other possibilities for entertainment.
Guest Ger camp:: (Ger facilities) During your trip in the countryside, you’ll occasionally overnight in guest ger camps. It’s more casual or less touristy decorated comparing to tourist luxury ger camps. Most guest ger camps are not equipped with flush toilets or hot showers.
by the nomadic family: Traditionally, nomad families used to leave 1 extra ger for random visitor’s sudden visit. Nowadays its a fading tradition but has found new life as tourists have started coming to Mongolia. Providing a sustainable extra income to nomadic families and providing for meaningful cultural exchanges, spare gers in the countryside are far more interesting to stay in than some tour camps.
Japanese van: (4 wheel vehicle) over the last several years Japanese vans have been successfully running for tourist services all over Mongolia. They have good air conditioning systems and are more comfortable to ride in which is appreciated by many of our clients.
Purgon (Russian van): Purgon is a grey colored van guaranteed for Mongolian bumpy roads and it holds 7 people easily. It’s suitable for longer trips and for those who are keen to save some transport expenses. We would suggest the van if you are heading off into remote areas such as western Mongolia or the Gobi.
