Eagle hunting is a Altai Kazakh tradition doting back about 2000 years (Marco Polo mentions it).Kazakh people use female eagles as they are one-third heavier than the males and far more aggressive.The eagles are trained to hunt hairs, wild cat, Ibex, foxes and wolves (eagles have eight times more acute than humans),and release them to the hunter, who clubs the prey to death.The colden eagles trapped from wild more aggressive and stronger than others. So we take you to Deluun area, where all eagle hunters keep trapped birds.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 : Sep, 16th, Arrival in UB
Tour begins: At the airport in Ulaanbaatar you will be met by our vehicle. Transfer to hotel. City orientation tour, visit Gandan Monastery. Dinner at the Modern Nomads restaurant /Mongolian national food, modern and comfortable/. Free time. Overnight in ***hotel. (L)
Day 2 : Sep, 17 To Ulgii
Fly to Ulgii city. Fly 4hrs. Half an hour refuel stop in Tosontsengel or Moron. Transfer to restaurant and have a lunch. After little Ulgii town introduction tour drive about 26km to camp. Overnight in the Kazak tourist camp ger. (L+D)
Day 3 : Sep 18, 19th, Eagle hunting festival day
The Mongolian Kazakhs use for hunting female eagles as far they are bigger male ones and more aggressive. These eagles are trained to hunt foxs, wolves ,rabbit and wild cat. Every day going side by side with eagle hunter to hunt mostly fox we learn and enjoy this unique customes of the Mongolian Kazakhs.We have the chance to visit some Kazakh families and feel the great hospitalities. Every evening we stay with the Kazakh Dombro Player(traditional musical instrument with two strings). Overnight in the Kazak tourist camp ger. (B+L+D)
Day 4 : Sep 20th Kazak family
After lunch, start to drive to south about 150km (about 4hrs) and reach Eagle hunter’s family. Meet the eagle hunter and his family you will able to observe kazak people’s lifestyle. Overnight in the Kazak family ger. (B+L+D)
Day 5 : Sep 21st, Drive back to Ulgii
Drive to Ulgii town. We will visit local handcrafters. Overnight in feltger or hotel. (B+L+D)
Day 6 : Sep 22nd, Fly To UB
Transfer to the airport and fly to UB approx.4 hrs. Arrive in UB. overnight *** star hotel. (B+L)

What's serving for you?
Tourist Ger camp: (Ger facilities) During your trip in the countryside, you’ll overnight in ger camps. Make yourself comfortable in a ger (2-4 beds). Each camp has a ger restaurant. Most camps are equipped with toilets and showers with other possibilities for entertainment.
Guest Ger camp:: (Ger facilities) During your trip in the countryside, you’ll occasionally overnight in guest ger camps. It’s more casual or less touristy decorated comparing to tourist luxury ger camps. Most guest ger camps are not equipped with flush toilets or hot showers.
by the nomadic family: Traditionally, nomad families used to leave 1 extra ger for random visitor’s sudden visit. Nowadays its a fading tradition but has found new life as tourists have started coming to Mongolia. Providing a sustainable extra income to nomadic families and providing for meaningful cultural exchanges, spare gers in the countryside are far more interesting to stay in than some tour camps.
Japanese minivan: (4 wheel vehicle) over the last several years Japanese vans have been successfully running for tourist services all over Mongolia. They have good air conditioning systems and are more comfortable to ride in which is appreciated by many of our clients.
Purgon (Russian van): Purgon is a grey colored van guaranteed for Mongolian bumpy roads and it holds 7 people easily. It’s suitable for longer trips and for those who are keen to save some transport expenses. We would suggest the van if you are heading off into remote areas such as western Mongolia or the Gobi.

Moderate traveler category - Accommodation in comfortable tourist camps and 2 stars or 3 star hotels, occasionally camping in the tent, Japanese vehicle or latest Land Cruiser jeep, guided horse riding trek (if you are riding first time), guided camel riding trek (if you are riding first time) and trekking.
Adventure Traveler category- 2 star hotel or Guesthouse, mixed accommodation and tourist ger camping or camping in the tent, field cooked meals, steppe biking for beginners, basic rock climbing and hiking.
Extreme adventure seekers – camping, field cooked meals, mountain and steppe biking (advanced biker), horse riding trip (advanced rider with more than 5 years experience), Camel riding trek, and extreme mountain climber.
