Tour Overview
Trip lead you the most attractive destinations around Ulaanbaatar city. Within this short time you will experience a lots of adventures. Trip start visting second biggest Monastery called Amarbayasgalt and visit one of the most beautiful lake Great white lake in Arkhangai province. You will also able to discover ancient (13 century) capital city Kharakhorum, Mongolia’s biggest Buddhist monastery Erdenezuu. Elsen tasarkhai known as a mini gobi. The scenery is unique by its combination of steppe, sand dunes and mountain landscapes.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 : Ulaanbaatar city tour
Tour begins: At the airport in Ulaanbaatar you will be meet your guide and driver. City orientation tour begins with visiting Gandan Monastery. Lunch at the restaurant /Mongolian national food, modern and comfortable/. Visit the dinosaur exhibits at the Museum of Natural History and Chinggis statue at the government house. Free time. Overnight at 3 star hotel (L)
Day 2 : Visit AMARBAYASGALANT monastery
After breakfast drive to AMARBAYASGALANT monastery. This is a long driving day stepper range. Lunch served as picnic on the way. After lunch drive to explore the AMARBAYASGALANT monastery 7km. Amarbaysgalant second biggiest monastery Built in 1727-1736, Monastery was the second most important in Mongolia after Erdene Zuu Monastery. Neighborhood area has vast lovely flower drenched, grass hills and Selenge river. Overnight in the tourist camp. (B/L/D)
Day 3 : Khairkhan village
Today drive to Great white lake on the way we will visit and overnight in Mongolian nomad family.(B/L/D)
Day 4 : Khorgo – Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur National Park.
After breakfast we drive to Khorgo, a volcanic lake ringed by stark Rocky Mountains. Khorgo volcano believed to have last exploded only 5000 years ago. On of six cinder cones in the area, It’s 200 meter wide volcano towers about 50 metres above blackened landscape of lava flows dotted with pine trees. Just driving 5km from volcano you will see the clear freshwater Lake Terkhiin White. Overnight in the tourist camp. (B/L/D)
Day 5 : Khorgo – Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur National Park, horse riding 1 day

Day 6 : Taikhar rock formation
The rock is the subject of many local legends; the most common one is that a great hero crushed a huge serpent here by hurling the rock on top of it. Local’s claim there is some ancient Tibetan inscriptions on the rock, though you will be lucky to spot them through 30 years of Mongolian graffiti. Overnight in the ger camp. (B/L/D)
Day 7 : Kharakhorum city, Erdenezuu Monastery,
After breakfast drive to Kharakhorum (250km) ancient Mongolian capital city and Erdenezuu monastery. Mongolia´s ancient capital city Kharakhorum, Chinggis Khaan´s fabled city, was founded in 1220 in the ORKHON Valley, at the crossroads of “The Silk Road”. It was from there that the Mongol Empire was governed, until Kublai Khaan moved to Beijing. Erdene zuu Mongolian biggest Monastery was built in 1586 (16 century) and is surrounded by a massive 400m-x 400m wall. Not a single nail was used in the construction of the ornate temples, only a few of which remain standing after the communist purges. Overnight in the tourist camp.(B/L/D)
Day 8 : Ulaanbaatar, Elsen tasarkhai stop for camel ride
After Lunch drive back to Ulaanbaatar. It will be a day of guided sightseeing in UB, shopping and free time. Evening you will watch National folk dance performance. (B/L)
Day 9 : Departure.

What's serving for you?
Tourist Ger camp: (Ger facilities) During your trip in the countryside, you’ll overnight in ger camps. Make yourself comfortable in a ger (2-4 beds). Each camp has a ger restaurant. Most camps are equipped with toilets and showers with other possibilities for entertainment.
Guest Ger camp:: (Ger facilities) During your trip in the countryside, you’ll occasionally overnight in guest ger camps. It’s more casual or less touristy decorated comparing to tourist luxury ger camps. Most guest ger camps are not equipped with flush toilets or hot showers.
by the nomadic family: Traditionally, nomad families used to leave 1 extra ger for random visitor’s sudden visit. Nowadays its a fading tradition but has found new life as tourists have started coming to Mongolia. Providing a sustainable extra income to nomadic families and providing for meaningful cultural exchanges, spare gers in the countryside are far more interesting to stay in than some tour camps.
Japanese van: (4 wheel vehicle) over the last several years Japanese vans have been successfully running for tourist services all over Mongolia. They have good air conditioning systems and are more comfortable to ride in which is appreciated by many of our clients.
Purgon (Russian van): Purgon is a grey colored van guaranteed for Mongolian bumpy roads and it holds 7 people easily. It’s suitable for longer trips and for those who are keen to save some transport expenses. We would suggest the van if you are heading off into remote areas such as western Mongolia or the Gobi.
