Naadam festival is always so interesting to see rural area than city. Beside Naadam festivel ,in In the Gobi you will well explore Three Beauties of the Gobi National Park eagle valley, Moltsog els (small sand dunes) and Flaming cliffs known as a Bayanzag (dinosaur excavation site).The Gobi which literally means “desert” consists of mainly of stony plains, rugged treeless mountains and scrubland has spectacular scenery. Follow the footsteps of Roy chapmen Andrew, who’s discovered dinosaur scientific findings. The Gobi provinces are surprisingly alive with wildlife. You will see thousands of wild and domesticated camels, cranes and hawks.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 : 21.July: Ulaanbaatar city tour
Tour begins: At the airport in Ulaanbaatar you will be meet your guide and driver. City orientation tour begins with visiting Gandan Monastery. Lunch at the Modern Nomads restaurant /Mongolian national food, modern and comfortable/. Visit the dinosaur exhibits at the Museum of Natural History and Chiggis statue at the goverment house. Free time. Overnight at 3 star hotel (L)
Day 2 : 22. July: Visit Naadam Festival in GOBI (80th anniversary of Dalanzadgad in 2011)
Fly to Dalanzadag (Gobi) and attend the Naadam festival opening starts at 10-11 am. The sports are most popular with the Mongols since ancient times are wrestling, horse racing and archery. At present it is a national holiday held 11-13th July each year to commemorate the Mongol People's Revolution. But, it’s slightly different in provinces and villages. The traditional style of wrestling has its own long-standing ritual. The second element of the Three Manly Sports is horse racing. The third element of the national competitions is archery, which has been perfected over centuries. Full day in Dalanzadgad exploration & enjoy Nadaam Festival. Overnight in tourist camp near city. Day 3 : 23. July: Naadam Festival second day
Next day, after breakfast drive to the horse race finish line see the daaga (2-year-old horse) race of 10km and the soyolon (5-year-old horse) race of 25km. After watching horse racing drive to Flaming cliffs “Bayanzag” – Dinosaur’s native land. Bayanzag is an area of red cliffs, which formed from the erosion of sand and rock over many thousands of years. It is also the site of several successful dinosaur excavations. Overnight at the tourist camp. (B/L/D)
Day 4 : 24. July: Middle Gobi- Ongi cloister
Today we drive to Middle Gobi (about 250km) to Ongi cloister. Ongi found in 1760 place where 30 temple and 1000 Buddhist lamas used to live. During 1939’s communist purges it’s completely destroyed. Today one temple has been fully rebuilt. The grounds also include tow small museums. Overnight in the tourist camp.(B/L/D)
Day 5 : 25. July: Kharakhorum city, Erdenezuu Monastery
After breakfast drive to Kharakhorum (250km) ancient Mongolian capital city and Erdenezuu monastery. Mongolia´s ancient capital city Kharakhorum, Chinggis Khaan´s fabled city, was founded in 1220 in the ORKHON Valley, at the crossroads of “The Silk Road”. It was from there that the Mongol Empire was governed, until Kublai Khaan moved to Beijing. Erdene zuu Mongolian biggest Monastery was built in 1586 (16 century) and is surrounded by a massive 400m-x 400m wall. Not a single nail was used in the construction of the ornate temples, only a few of which remain standing after the communist purges. Overnight in the tourist camp.(B/L/D)
Day 6 : 26. July: Ulaanbaatar
After Lunch drive back to Ulaanbaatar. It will be a day of guided sightseeing in UB, shopping and free time. Evening you will watch National folk dance performance. overnight at the 3 star hotel (B/L/D)
Day 7 : 27. July: Departure
You will be taken to airport (B)

What's serving for you?
Tourist Ger camp: (Ger facilities) During your trip in the countryside, you’ll overnight in ger camps. Make yourself comfortable in a ger (2-4 beds). Each camp has a ger restaurant. Most camps are equipped with toilets and showers with other possibilities for entertainment.
Guest Ger camp:: (Ger facilities) During your trip in the countryside, you’ll occasionally overnight in guest ger camps. It’s more casual or less touristy decorated comparing to tourist luxury ger camps. Most guest ger camps are not equipped with flush toilets or hot showers.
by the nomadic family: Traditionally, nomad families used to leave 1 extra ger for random visitor’s sudden visit. Nowadays its a fading tradition but has found new life as tourists have started coming to Mongolia. Providing a sustainable extra income to nomadic families and providing for meaningful cultural exchanges, spare gers in the countryside are far more interesting to stay in than some tour camps.
Japanese van: (4 wheel vehicle) over the last several years Japanese vans have been successfully running for tourist services all over Mongolia. They have good air conditioning systems and are more comfortable to ride in which is appreciated by many of our clients.
Purgon (Russian van): Purgon is a grey colored van guaranteed for Mongolian bumpy roads and it holds 7 people easily. It’s suitable for longer trips and for those who are keen to save some transport expenses. We would suggest the van if you are heading off into remote areas such as western Mongolia or the Gobi.
